Wendy and Sean’s Linekin Bay Resort wedding wedding was one to look forward to. At our first consult, they told me some of their ideas for how they wanted the ceremony to start. They mentioned that, ideally, they would both just rise out of the ground, which cracked me up completely. As it ended up, they settled on Wendy taking a ride over on a lobster boat and walking down the aisle with her dad.
Their friend Aaron officiated the wedding and, as often happens in friend-officaited weddings, he forgot to tell everyone to be seated. It’s a big job, I can understand how this happens. It ends up being a long wedding for the guests if they stay on their feet, and it makes my job a little more difficult, so I signaled Sean, who passed on the word to Aaron. This resulted in Aaron chiding Sean and I knew we were going to be off to a fun start.
Sure enough Aaron told some funny stories about the couple and got the guests all roaring with laughter. I was cracking up pretty hard myself from behind the lens. My favorite type of wedding.
Being a little older than the typical bride myself, ahem, I have an affinity for weddings where people have a friends from every phase of their lives. Wendy had her “Wonder Women” who were a force of nature. And Sean had his cadre too. Such a memorable wonderful day!
